My Personal Experience with Drinks

All of the pictures above tell a little about me and my drinking style; varietal. I'm a girl that likes her beer, a glass of wine, a mixed drink in the summer, a cocktail, or trying European liquor. I have always been one to love trying new things and plan to continue that throughout this semester in this class.

I have always been a fan of sweet, white wine, and have slowly acquired the taste of red wine in recent years. I have now moved from drinking sweet Moscato to not as sweet, Chardonnay or Pinot Grigio. As of red wine, I will drink almost all kinds of reds but still prefer white when casually drinking. I did recently try a Blackberry Wine from a local winery and absolutely loved it! On the other end, my favorite beer is by far Blue Moon, with Corona Light and a lime in a close second. However, being in college, I'll take a cup of Natty Light if offered! Basically I am not super picky when it comes to drinking and always get excited to try something new and different.

I am super excited to be taking this course and learning all about wine and applying that knowledge to my future in wine drinking. There is so much to learn and I am eager to acquire all that is taught by Professor Boyer. I hope to learn many new facts about wine in this class including the certain foods that pair with specific wines, how it's made and stored, and the proper customs in drinking wine with others. It is important to me to be knowledgeable of what I am drinking when socializing with others and I hope to be an official wine connoisseur before I graduate!
